About Us
What kind of church is Amboy Nazarene?
We are a fun and friendly group of people who follow the Christian tradition. We seek to live our lives according to the teachings of Jesus as revealed to us in the Holy Bible. Our congregation is a mix of ages and different backgrounds of people who support and care for one another and who warmly welcome all visitors.
What are Sunday mornings like?
Our Sunday mornings are a combination of songs, prayers, times of discussion, and a teaching from the Bible. Worship services generally last around 70 minutes. Following worship service each Sunday we share in a potluck meal in our Fellowship Hall.
Do I have to dress up?
Only if you want to! Come as you are. Most of our people dress casually each Sunday, but feel free to dress in whatever manner that makes you feel comfortable.
What about kids?
Nothing makes us happier than the sounds of children in church! Older children attend services with their families. We provide activity bags and other resources. We have a nursery for children ages 3 and under.
What if I don't "have it all together"?
Join the club! None of us have it all together. We are just a group of flawed people who have learned that Jesus loves us. Together we are trying to support and encourage each other to live better lives, even though we often fail. The beauty is, when we fail we are surrounded by caring and loving people who support us. Come be imperfect with us!
